HR tech vendors, recruitment AI startups and a lot of fun…an event done right

Summary: Talkr goes to Recfest2023 to catch up with clients, meet HR tech vendors and startups and to see how we can help support the growth of the recruitment industry.

Having the best time meeting clients and other HR tech startups

Recfest 2023, the highly anticipated annual recruitment festival, recently took place with the Talkr team in attendance and we have to say we had the best time!

Sorry, you had the ‘best time’ at a work event? I hear you say.

Recfest is like no other event we’ve been to. We were lucky enough to catch up with some of our clients there either running the event itself or showcasing their HR tech platforms that we support. There were fantastic, and relevant, insights and current trends being shared by industry leaders via the many stages on offer as well as some invaluable connections and networking opportunities. Key takeaways from the event can be found below.

But this just sounds like any other event? Wait…

Recfest has a different vibe to other events. It really is a festival and brings that festival atmosphere. It’s easy to make friends at festivals as the barriers are down and people feel comfortable and ready to talk and network. This is a key reason for the success of the event, and why we found it so useful, and why it is getting bigger each year.

So what were our takeaways?

Recruitment and HR tech trends

1. The rise of AI and automation continues

One of the most prominent themes at Recfest2023 was the growing prominence of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in recruitment processes. From chatbots and candidate screening algorithms to AI-powered interview platforms, technology is revolutionising the way companies identify, attract, and hire top talent.

2. Big focus on diversity and inclusion

There was a strong emphasis on the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It highlighted the need for recruiters to adopt inclusive practices, eliminate biases, and create diverse talent pipelines.

3. Employer branding in the digital era

With the continued rise of social media and online platforms, building a strong employer brand has become more crucial than ever. Recfest shed light on the power of storytelling, authenticity, and showcasing your company culture in attracting top talent.

4. The importance of the candidate experience

Recruiters have long realised the significance of providing a positive candidate experience, and Recfest2023 reiterated this point. From personalised communications and streamlined application processes to feedback mechanisms, delivering an exceptional candidate experience is key to attracting and retaining top talent.

HR tech and how using outsourcing can help you grow fast

So there we go, we really did have the best time at Recfest and learnt a lot about where this industry is headed and importantly how we can help support that development and growth. We are fortunate to have met a lot of friends there and have hopefully made many more that we can also support through the use of our outsourcing solution.

See you at Recfest 2024!
